Cowgirl Fashion Tips 101
Dressing cowgirl is not an event....it's a lifestyle!!!
We all want the look...."a classy cowgirl look." Mature ladies or young, trendy cowgirl stuff.
Here are some suggestions I have learned as far as basic cowgirl fashion, cowgirl clothes,ranchie wardrobe, accessories,accessories & more accessories that may help you.
Let's keep this simple Start with CowboyWifeThangs Chunky Cowgirl Jewelry....Turquoise stones & necklaces then Absolute Rule#1 is:Jeans. Then I go on to what I call "easy wear", clothes that require no ironing, & are washer dryer proof.

I like to have a couple of Chico traveler sheaths..in 1 color.............I add season appropriate jackets. I love easy breeze crinkle shifts for summer, also 1 color.

CONCHOS, CROSSES, PENDANTS IN SILVER, THE NEW RUSTY LOOK IS FANTASTIC & MORE CASUAL.....I LOVE THE RUSTY LOOK & WEAR ALOT OF IT..........
CONCHO BELTS, OR ATLEAST WELL MADE COWGIRL BELTS..........IF YOU HAVE ANYBODY IN YOUR CIRCLE OF FRIENDS THAT CAN TOOL LEATHER, EVEN BETTER! (Or, start creating yourself, you may find you will have lots of customers!)

LEATHER BOOTS
LEATHER PURSES OR IN SUMMER TIME SOMETHING COOL.( I REALLY LIKE A PURSE LINE FROM WAY SOUTH OF THE BORDER.).
I ADD A CONCHO ON MY PURSE OR ADD A "SHO-FLY" TO MY ZIPPER........you cowgirls know a sho-fly hangs from your breast collar on your horse or on the cinch to sho the flies away!
I have found for me.......get the basic look down, & always go for a good purse, I like some that are from way down in South America, with tooling & whip stich, bought from 'Leaders in Leather" brand.
I love a good boot.......my favorites that I have & still wear are high top Larry Mahans, & Double HH Ashlee's, lots of color with an authentic look, leather soles, hand pegged! Real Leather all the way thru. THE LOOK IS CUSTOM, HANDMADE BOOTS!!!....
I like the look of expensive jewelry & nice accessories. But not corny or too cowgirl cutsie!!! No fabric fringe, or Dale Evens (Bless her heart!!) type cowgirl hat....look at real cowboys, the way they wear their hats, (it changes depending on what part of the country they come from) & rodeo wear is not everyday cowgirl wear. Most of what you see in major variety stores are not cowgirl.
PUT THAT NECKLACE ON!
Necklines: square, boat neck, soft round, v necks, flatter the neck & shoulder area.moving the eye up & away from the mid section.
I LOVE THE TRADITIONAL CLASSIC SHIRT ...
with a COWBOYWIFETHANGS necklace inside this collar, one strand of mixed stones or 10 strands! boy, howdy, great look. or I like to hang with a big classy LMT. wear that shirt outside with a concho belt or tucked inside your jeans or skirt. You are good to go......
sometimes I just wear a big shirt outside with jeans, cowgirl stuff around my neck, bracelets as many as I like, & jeans: Roll them "thangs" up a notch or two & enjoy the cooler comfort to go shopping or early summer supper somewhere. Grab a "punchie" summer tote & "You Go, Girl!
THE CONCHO BELT:
This belt can be worn anyway you can wear it for your figure............the look right now is very loose hanging on the lower part of your hips, if you can wear it & you like it do it! if you can't don't you can look very good in whatever compliment your figure.
some cannot wear concho belts because they bring alot of attention to an area most women are not interested in bringing any extra attention to...........
I say wear lots of your favorite neclaces, braclets, & earrings, they all do not need to "match".......The whole outfit today has to blend & have plenty of texture....which comes down to colors & different materials....
Find your favorite online shoppers guide & look at what trips your trigger.

What Not To Do!!
(My personal opinions....)
1. Tight jeans make everybody look bad...all women can wear jeans, but not all should..find the fit for your body type....
2. Crunched straw hats with curled brims are for tourists!!!
3. Short jeans look like you borrowed them from your shorter older brother...
4. Even if you are going to the club...most singers aren't cowboys...so they dress like hillbillies.
This is just a few thoughts..
..don't throw tomatoes at me!!!
If you really want to look cowboy...don't go to the club or soda fountain to find one...most are working. Look for real cowboy looks in real cowboy books!!!
